Am I a Candidate?



LASIKIf you are considering LASIK laser vision correction, it is critical that the surgeon himself performs the evaluation. At the Jacksonville Eye Center Dr. Schnipper evaluates all potential patients. . There are some basic requirements listed below.

Generally, if all of the following apply to you, you may be a good candidate for LASIK:

  • At least 21 years
  • No severe diabetic eye disease or severe glaucoma
  • Stable glasses' prescription for one year
  • Have a prescription from -11.00 diapers of nearsightedness up to +6.00 of farsightedness, or astigmatism of up to 6.00 diopters.
