Dr. Schnipper graduated from Tufts University where he majored in Biochemistry. He received his medical degree from Northwestern University. After spending a year as a surgical and medical intern at Kings County Hospital, New York, he served two years in the United States Public Health Service as a lieutenant commander in the Coast Guard. Dr. Schnipper trained in ophthalmology at the prestigious Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital in New York.

Dr. Schnipper is a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology, a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and is certified by the American Board of Eye Surgeons in both cataract and refractive surgery.

Dr. Schnipper holds more experience than any other ophthalmologist in the field of refractive surgery in Northeast Florida and has performed thousands of LASIK surgeries.
